I'm having problems with my pc.?

When I turn my pc on, Its stall at the first screen. To resume I have to press F1. On the screen it stalls at, it says "Warning! Insert key pressed or clock GEN. Watch dog reset. Please enter them in new setup and save." I think this has something to do with the BIOS but not sure exactly what it means. Anyway I decided that i'd format my PC anyway because there's nothing important on it and I'd prefer to have a fresh start with it, but when I insert my windows cd and restart the pc, its not even giving me the choice to format my hard drive, only the choice to repair or reinstall windows. Can anyone HELP?

Before reformatting that hard, it might be a good idea if you reset your BIOS. Look into your motherboard's manual for resetting the BIOS.Normally, there's a notch you have to remove from one of the pins and reinsert it to the other pin beside it.Furthermore, you will also have to remove the battery of your motherboard before you perform the above step.Soon as you reset it and slap back the battery, try to restart. Usually, you have to press DEL to get back to reprogram your BIOS (eg. date,time,etc).From then on, see if your problem resolves...Also, while resetting your PC BIOS, try to see if your cooling fans,CPU fans,wirings and,of course, your components if they need some dusting.Use compressed air to blow off dust (don't even try to use a brush and simply blowing them off with your mouth, not unless, you want to fry your motherboard! Dust contributes for nearly 30% of unexplained 'phenomenon' inside your PC! Good luck!
