Aggressive Dog Problems

Aggressive Dog Problems
I have a 3 year old and a 3 month old puppy the older one and the dog next door are getting aggressive?

The 3 year old is a mixed american bulldog/mastiff (he is fixed). The puppy is a german/rot mix, these 2 get along . The dog next door is a basset hound has not beed fixed. It has only started in the past couple of days that the two older dogs (they have been around each other since puppyhood) are getting aggressive through the fence. Today it was when I and the puppy walked up the fence line and I bent down to the puppy and the dog. My dog ran up to the fence and the aggression started. Is this just a phase he is going through until we get the puppy fixed. I am thinking it is a jealous thing. We have always gone up to the fence and patted the other dogs with no problem is he trying to get dominace over all the dogs. Any help and advice will be welcome.

could be he is protecting HIS puppy

  1. Thanks for sharing your resources with me.

You have a fantastic site here, the way it’s laid out made it very easy to find the information I needed. I normally just read and leave but I wanted to let you know how much your efforts are appreciated. With a site as well constructed as this is it is no wonder you are quite successful.

    Thanks again for your efforts!
