Adopted dog behavioral problem. Help!!?
I have just recently adopted a FemaleJRT/Wire Haired Terrier. I am having some problems. I also have a 7 yr old that is wonderful. She isn't very friendly and pulls away when you try and pet her. She constantly paces around the house even after I walk her. She trys to climb on everything. She growls at my current dog and I can't trust her to be alone with him. I really want to work on this with her but don't know if it's too late because of her age.
ANy dog can learn at any age. She was probably treated poorly, and doesn't understand yet and is scared. Just be patient and show her a lot of love.
